​Philosophy

At Foothills Preschool we believe that each child is a unique individual with their own pattern and speed of development.  Through our differentiated curriculum, we meet each child where they are developmentally and compose a plan for their individual growth and learning goals.



Curriculum

Using a Reggio - inspired approach to early childhood education our teachers design an emergent, integrated curriculum based on shared interests of the students & teachers. Our lesson planning is based on the California Learning Foundations for Preschool, published by the California Department of Education and we follow the guidelines for environment and curriculum recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the authority in early childhood education.

Staff

Our nurturing staff of early childhood professionals is dedicated to helping each child develop to their full potential through fun and challenging learning experiences. All of our teachers are fully qualified by the State of California per Title 22 and have many years of teaching experience. Many have advanced degrees.
